For 12 days this fall, eugenie will bring its distinct approach to independent fashion to Williamsburg. From October 15–26, the boutique will take over Kinspace with a tightly edited selection of apparel, accessories, and fine jewelry. The outpost offers New Yorkers the opportunity to discover unique pieces that can be difficult to find under one roof. It will also bring together fashion, art, and design through a series of creative activations rooted in the team’s wider network.
eugenie’s curation is grounded in a close attention to material, process, and place. The boutique seeks out independent labels with thoughtful approaches to making, emphasizing natural materials, sculptural silhouettes, and pieces designed to stand the test of time. The assortment ranges from soft woolen knits and structured trousers to bold, material-driven accessories made from recycled metals.
For eugenie, this curatorial sensibility is inseparable from Detroit, where a culture of experimentation and a community of contemporary makers continue to shape its perspective. That connection extends to New York, where eugenie’s founders and team members have also spent years living and working. Conceived as an exchange between the two cities, the Williamsburg outpost brings the distinct creative sensibilities of Detroit and New York into conversation.
Alongside the fashion assortment, the space will feature a print publication highlighting sustainable designers in Detroit, original artwork by Detroit - New York artist Maxine McCrann, and Detroit farm-to-table food from Molly Mitchell of Rose’s Fine Food, a New York Times-lauded restaurant.
